Rugby Experience Day with Ian Cook

Sometime ago I entered a competition that was being hosted by Cambrian Photography to win a days tutelage and a experience photographing a rugby match in which the WRU National Cup Champions – RGC1404 from Ian Cook a professional sports and commercial photographer with over 10 years experience in the field under his belt. As I am trying to get into Sports Photography I felt that this was a fantastic opportunity for myself to gain a valuable insight into what it was like to document a professional match.

I sent off my one image for consideration and hoped for the best, I honestly thought that I would not hear anything else until I received an email saying that I had won a ticket for the day!

Excited to say the least as I have never won anything like this in my life, the invitation was for Saturday 29th April 2017, unfortunately my bubble was burst when my wife was admitted to hospital and needed 24 hour care, this was preventing me from attending, needless to say, this will be a fantastic opportunity missed, hopefully Cambrian will hold another competition along the same lines which I would obviously enter in the hope that I could achieve the same result.
